St. Patrick’s Hall in Strabane has had a long and interesting history of music, acting and dance. Once Home to the many showbands of their time it has attracted a wide and varied audience. This year the hall celebrated 31 years of Pantomime, a tradition in the town that is eagerly anticipated each year, playing to full houses of up to 400 each night. The hall has also produced musicals at various stages, from the ever popular “tops of the town” scenes and songs to a full production of West Side Story a few years ago.
This new group within St Patrick’s hall was formed by Director Leah McCay, Musical Director Ryan Quinn and Choreographer Emmet Stewart, who work with many musical societies across the North West and further afield. The three are collaborating on this project for the primary aim of raising funds for the parish- all profits will be donated to the local church and its ongoing restoration fund.
We have a cast size of 62 ranging from teenagers to those who enjoy retirement life!
Mainly made up of Strabane locals, Donegal and Derry natives, from fresh newbies to the stage to well earned veterans!
